At Bateel, the health, safety and wellbeing of our customers and staff is of paramount importance to us. During this time, we will continue to operate with the highest hygiene standards in place. Circumstances are constantly evolving, and we are relentlessly focused on providing operational excellence so that our guests can continue to enjoy the Bateel experience safely.

In order to reduce the risk of Covid-19, Café Bateel have implemented heightened safety precautions across our branches. We have raised the frequency and intensity of sanitising table and counter surfaces as well as high-traffic touch points like menus and portable card machines. Our staff are here to ensure that guests feel comfortable and safe, which is why maintaining good hygiene is absolutely critical. All staff undergo temperature checks before each shift and are required to wear face masks and protective gloves. Regardless, hand-washing procedures remain important as well.

We understand the need for contactless options now more than ever and so, our menus are readily available through your mobile device. Each table is supplied with a tent card containing a QR code for customers to scan through their phone’s camera. Our menu will automatically pop-up and guests can inform our staff of their choice of dish, all without coming in contact with a physical menu. Guests will also benefit from their privacy as we ensure a 2-metre distance from other diners. This communication is shared through signs that highlight which tables are off-limits for your safety. Our staff will direct you to your sanitised and distanced table.

Strict food safety protocols are a top priority. Our delivery drivers, are trained in food safety and have a number of precautionary measures they take. Along with getting regular temperature checks, our drivers wear face masks and disposable gloves while also equipped with hand sanitiser. When opting for delivery, our guests also have the option for contactless service.
